Job Overview

Position: Extended Day Head and Assistant Counselors

Friends School of Baltimore is seeking dedicated individuals for the roles of Extended Day Head and Assistant Counselors. These positions are integral to our Extended Day program, focusing on creating a secure and stimulating environment for students after school.

The working hours are flexible based on the division assignment, typically ranging from 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, aligning with school days.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Education: Candidates must be at least 16 years old. A high school diploma or completion of the sophomore year is necessary. College coursework is advantageous.
  2. Experience: A passion for working with students in grades PK - 8th is essential. Previous experience in child care or youth camp settings is preferred.
  3. Professional Appearance: Friends School values a polished and professional image at all times.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  1. Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple responsibilities while remaining calm.
  2. A positive demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to be resourceful.
