Our product engineering team is responsible for building an e-commerce ecosystem that is innovative, secure and intuitive for our users. We are looking for passionate and talented people to join us as we drive the future of e-commerce here at TikTok. Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining the e-commerce module within the TikTok app, focusing on features such as product browsing, search functionality, and order placement to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver new features aimed at enhancing user experience on the TikTok Shop.
  • Implement new features and functionalities according to design specifications and user requirements, while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct performance analysis and profiling of the TikTok Shop to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.
  • Support the debugging and troubleshooting of issues reported by QA and end-users, and contribute to bug fixes and performance optimization efforts.

Qualifications



Minimum Qualification:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years experience in mobile app development for iOS and/or Android platforms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Objective-C, Swift, Kotlin, or Java, and familiarity with mobile development frameworks and tools.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Hybrid cross-platform development experience.

Job Information



The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $ $237500 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​

Our time off and leave plans are: 10 paid holidays per year plus 17 days of Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure) and 10 paid sick days per year as well as 12 weeks of paid Parental leave and 8 weeks of paid Supplemental Disability. ​
