WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This role partners with assigned business line(s) and infrastructure teams to understand, implement and support relevant strategies that promote business growth through stable, scalable and efficient application management, and reduce risk through proactive management of cyber and compliance vulnerabilities. This will be in a small team of 4 with 1 manager, taking on application custodianship and all relevant responsibilities. The tasks will have both soft and hard timelines for completion with complex requirements involving both technical and logistical challenges.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Incident Management

  • Update incident tickets with workaround, investigation, and/or resolution information, Provide Tier 3 support, Escalate to Tier 4 support when needed including the creation of user stories

Problem Management

  • Manage problem tickets from beginning to end, and complete any assigned Problem Tasks

Projects & Initiatives

  • Assist with Application Development & Technology Currency Projects, Execute on assigned tasks to support Projects, Participate in Tech Currency Initiatives deemed as Maintenance Owned

Change Management and Implementations

  • Ensure the completion of the handover checklist for "GO" readiness, Open & Close Change Tickets, approvals and tasks for Maintenance owned changes, Coordinate & perform implementations, Execution of technical PIV scripts, Attend meetings

Application Maintenance & Compliance

  • Assistance with and organization of DR / RTC - includes prep activities leading up to the event, coordination, communication, tracking, and execution for internally hosted apps, Participate in application attestations, resolution of application findings, audits requests, and IIPM Data quality reviews and updates, Contribute to the resolution of cyber security violations and vulnerabilities, Maintain the health and performance of applications in the production environment

SRE Practices & Modernization

  • Report challenges and opportunities for improvement to Transformation & SRE team, prioritize SRE Best Practices and recommendations, Integration and ongoing engagement of SRE Framework into project delivery

Relationships & Communication

  • Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close. Participates in and runs small to large group meetings, Resolves conflicts/issues and escalates others as appropriate.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Professional experience on large projects/programs with multiple applications and interfaces
  • Strong IT Standards, Methodologies. Experience with SOX, Cyber, SRE, and Audit requirements
  • Experience working in an Agile – Scrum environment
  • Communication and presentation/facilitation skills and experience
  • Conflict and issues resolution and escalation

Nice-to-have:

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience in computer sciences or business.
  • Working knowledge of Platforms (e.g. Windows, Unix, Cloud)
  • Working knowledge of Database technologies (e.g. SQL Server, DB2)
  • Knowledge of the securities industry, financial markets, and related terminology.
