Overview

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Remote Lead Application Systems Analyst specializing in Epic - Claims and Remittance. This role focuses on the development and enhancement of applications within the Epic system. The selected candidate will offer technical guidance and leadership, which includes configuring, documenting, testing, modifying, and maintaining software applications. This position requires applying specific application and technology expertise to the specification and design development process. Responsibilities also include creating system and operational documentation and addressing all issues that arise within the designated application area. Job functions encompass configuring applications by translating business requirements into software specifications.

This is a full-time position, requiring 80 hours per pay period, with a Day shift schedule. Key Responsibilities

Utilize expertise to develop new and existing applications. Configure code, test, and troubleshoot current programs. Analyze end-user data and business needs to ensure user-centered and efficient program/system performance. Actively engage in defining IT workflows and monitoring processes, including Incident and Problem Management, IT Service Request and Task Management, Change Control Management, and IT Project Management. Efficiently provide application workflow and functional analysis, build and configuration, unit and coordinated testing, and planning for transition to ongoing application support. Understand workflows to meet business needs effectively. Conduct unit testing for all code and programs before releasing them to the quality assurance (QA) team. Address all unit test issues promptly. Collaborate with the QA team to identify test cases and create test data for thorough testing of all deliverables. Respond to inquiries and issues in a timely manner as the developed code/program progresses through testing and into production. Provide implementation and production support. Assess and comprehend dependencies between applications to determine if changes in one application could adversely affect another. Leverage knowledge of assigned applications to resolve issues and drive optimal business solutions. Maintain current application knowledge and understand how the business utilizes applications in their workflows. Collaborate with the business to gather requirements and objectives to drive effective solutions. Evaluate, resolve, and lead root-cause analysis for production issues and system failures; select corrective actions and improvements to prevent recurrence. Provide implementation and production support. Proactively share domain expertise regarding assigned applications with other technology and business team members to ensure quality and minimize impacts on other applications and business processes. Mentor and coach staff on technology, methodologies, and standards. Actively share knowledge and collaborate with IT teams to ensure prompt and effective responses to customer needs. Maintain up-to-date business domain knowledge and technical skills in software development technologies and methodologies. Actively participate in creating and implementing enhancements to achieve clinical, satisfaction, and efficiency outcomes. Provide ongoing operational system support and resolve issues. Collaborate with vendors on problem determination, resolution, issue tracking, upgrades, and fixes. Participate in after-hours support as determined by IT Leadership. Patient-Centered: Deliver services focused on the needs and safety of our patients and families. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience. 5+ years of experience in IT applications. Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for process development or problem resolution. Knowledge and expertise in healthcare processes and application system coordination. Familiarity with database structures and proficiency in reporting techniques and tools. If supporting Epic, certification in core applications is required within six months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field. 4 years of Epic Build experience in professional billing. Experience within the Healthcare Industry. Relevant certifications and experience related to the role. Epic Certifications for Epic roles.
