Optimal is hiring an eCommerce and Marketplace Specialist to join our Digital Media team. As an eCommerce and Marketing Specialist for Optimal, you are responsible for planning, building and optimizing ad campaigns and product listings in marketplace platforms such as Amazon, eBay, & Walmart.

Essential Functions, Duties, & Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Creation – Build eCommerce ad campaigns in platforms like Amazon from the ground up, including account set-up, campaign planning/organization, competitive analysis, keyword research, and ad copy writing.
  • Campaign Management & Optimization – Manage campaigns to ensure that they continually improve over time. Test and optimize bids, keywords, text ads, image ads, video ads and landing pages to improve campaign performance.
  • Organic Listing Management – Optimize Amazon product detail pages including titles, bullets, descriptions, images, and A+ content for higher conversion rate and search ranking.
  • Catalog Troubleshooting – Identify and promptly respond to marketplace issues, such as suspended or suppressed listings, undesirable attribute changes, inventory issues, loss of buy box, etc.
  • Reporting & Analysis – Master the art of performance analysis and client reporting through the daily use of tools such as Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Ads, DSP/STV, Ebay Ads, and more.

Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

  • 4-year Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, economics, finance, analytics; or relevant experience through school and/or internships
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Ads platform through coursework, internships, or other experience
  • Product listing optimization experience in Seller/Vendor Central
  • Relevant eCommerce experience in Google Shopping/Google Merchant Center, FB Commerce Manager, eBay Ads, or similar marketplaces also a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and client relationship skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Office Hours

This role is based out of our Austin office. Our Austin team works on a hybrid basis, with three days per week working in the office and two days per week working from home. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
