This role will serve as an assistant Editor-in-Chief, ensuring that products and stories are presented effectively through engaging copy, a unique perspective, and high-quality visuals. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for gear, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

The Customer Retention Marketing Specialist will report to the Retention Marketing Manager within the eCommerce Department. This position is highly visible and requires consistent collaboration with various departments and senior leadership.

This position is based at our headquarters; relocation assistance is available for remote candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the retention marketing program from conception through execution and performance evaluation.
  • Lead a skilled team of 6-8 designers in weekly cycles to produce two email campaigns weekly and four SMS messages monthly, including merchandising, feedback integration, and campaign scheduling.
  • Analyze customer insights, data, and seasonal merchandise to inform product marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure channel merchandising aligns with both company objectives and customer preferences.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with campaign managers and key stakeholders throughout the planning and launch phases.
  • Work alongside the Retention Marketing Manager to identify A/B testing opportunities for optimization and to enhance customer relationships.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to improve launch strategies and cross-departmental collaboration.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in email marketing or digital merchandising.
  • Detail-oriented with prior project management experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with email service providers such as Klaviyo, Bluecore, or Attentive is advantageous.
  • Proficient in project management tools, with Airtable experience being a plus.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, particularly Google Docs and Sheets.
