Job Overview:

The Compliance Analyst in the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) plays a pivotal role in the management and execution of the organization's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance program. This position ensures adherence to essential standards and processes related to AML investigations, thereby guaranteeing compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the USA PATRIOT Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and timely investigations into suspected money laundering, terrorism financing, and other financial crimes.
  • Analyze and identify trends and typologies specific to payment services and online marketplaces.
  • Prepare and submit suspicious activity reports as necessary.

Required Qualifications – Hard Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in anti-money laundering regulations or related investigations.
  • Preferred experience of 3 years in drafting suspicious activity reports.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as Anti-Money Laundering Specialist or Certified Fraud Examiner.
  • A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree or JD is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and regulations, particularly in the MSB or eCommerce sectors.
  • Experience in special projects and emerging risk typologies, including the development of standard operating procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with advanced skills in pivot tables and formulas; SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Exceptional writing and research capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data from various sources.
