Position Summary:

The Records Specialist I, under the direction of the Assistant University Registrar, is responsible for transcript processing, responding to inquiries regarding transcripts, making student record updates and assisting with other general Registrar tasks.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing quality service to all constituencies of Alliant International University. The incumbent will exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical principles and will be committed to the tenets of Alliant's Mission and Vision.

Starting Salary: $17.71 an hour, non-exempt, Part-time, 19 hours a week.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum one-year prior experience in a Registrar's Office or equivalent.

Certifications, Licenses, etc.: None.

Skills:


• Intermediate computer skills (MS Excel, Access, Outlook, Publisher) Prior Anthology (CampusNexus) experience highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Must have the ability to work in a high-volume environment with acute attention to detail, and have the ability to prioritize the workload without constant supervision.


• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook or other comparable software. Ability to quickly master software needed to execute job functions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process transcript requests, including interface with the National Student Clearinghouse to retrieve and process transcript orders placed through their service.


• Respond to inquiries about how to order transcripts and transcript status.


• Help with troubleshooting common transcript issues.


• Process routine student record update requests, including change of address, ensure accurate entry into the student information system.


• Assist with timely and accurate fulfillment of enrollment, degree and other types of verification requests.


• Assist with scanning of documents and filing as needed.


• Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed.
