Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Program Assistant to join our team Under the direction of the Program/Project Manager, you will oversee and manage multiple projects from initiation through to completion.

This role involves coordinating project activities, resources, and stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Coordinator/Lead will also be responsible for facilitating communication between team members and stakeholders, managing project documentation, and addressing any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues and risks.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications, both internally and externally.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and review sessions.
  • Manage project resources, including team members, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate project processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management/administration, or a related field.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Minimum three years' experience in Department of Defense (DOD) related projects.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of CostPoint purchasing and inventory modules.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required for government contracts

  • Understanding of Agile or other project management methodologies.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
