As an integral member of our team, you will significantly contribute to the execution and support of infrared (IR) payload capabilities for diverse clientele. Your role will require managing multiple tasks simultaneously, leading team dynamics, and effectively communicating with management, colleagues, and clients. A self-driven and highly organized approach is essential, with a focus on meeting customer expectations and delivering high-quality outcomes that surpass stakeholder requirements. Additionally, you will act as the Control Account Manager (CAM) across various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

Key Responsibilities:

The Engineering Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in program delivery by:
* Providing direct support to the program management office to ensure successful execution of all program facets, including cost, schedule, procurement, integration, and resource management.
* Establishing and maintaining Control Account budgets and timelines.
* Assisting in forecasting completion costs for assigned cost accounts.
* Defining tasks and scheduling sequences to optimize work scope achievement.
* Collaborating with technical leads to assess resources and timelines necessary for task completion.
* Ensuring that scheduled activities for the Control Account have realistic durations and performance logic.
* Proactively managing personnel involved in the detailed scope of work for the Control Account.
* Reviewing and approving all resource allocations and cost type charges to the Control Account, ensuring accuracy.
* Preparing Control Account Variance Analysis Reports that clearly outline causes, impacts, and corrective actions.
* Generating Estimates to Completion for remaining Control Account and work package scopes.
* Providing forecast dates for achieving activities and milestones within the Control Account Schedule.
* Leading or participating in Make/Buy decisions.
* Monitoring all scheduled work within the Control Account.
* Engaging in relevant IPT meetings to ensure technical integration.
* Preparing and/or reviewing variances, exceptions, and/or waivers to requirements.
* Collaborating in a team environment, overseeing team progress and issues, and escalating as necessary for support.

Basic Qualifications:

* A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant engineering experience, or a Master’s degree with two (2) years of relevant experience.
* At least one (1) year of experience with hardware and/or operations in a direct engineering capacity.
* Proven strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and foster cooperative relationships.
* Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work independently.
* Self-motivated and quick to learn, adapting to a wide range of subjects and challenges.
* Experience in supply chain management and collaborating with suppliers to meet both hardware and non-hardware deliverable requirements.
* Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiarity with space-rated IR payloads.
* Background in Project Engineering or a keen interest in learning about project engineering.
* General knowledge of Earned Value Management.
* Proficiency in MS Project.
