As a Construction Project Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to manage and streamline the administrative processes that ensure the successful and efficient execution of construction initiatives.

You will oversee specific projects, preparing management scopes and assessing the required efforts for their execution. This role encompasses all facets of construction administration, including project budgets, timelines, supply chain oversight, and client relations. As a Construction Project Coordinator, your goal will be to deliver high-quality results on schedule and within financial constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project Superintendent to maintain and oversee project timelines and financial plans.
  • Analyze and comprehend architectural drawings and specifications to gain a thorough understanding of the project scope.
  • Act as the primary liaison for the Engineer and Architect.
  • Coordinate with Pre-Construction and Field Supervision to ensure all contractual obligations, quality assessments, and reporting requirements are met.
  • Engage with selected Subcontractors to synchronize schedules, budgets, scope modifications, logistics, daily planning, and weekly forecasts.
  • Manage project initiation, including securing necessary permits and licenses, and overseeing jobsite setup.
  • Work alongside field management to create a project-specific safety plan.
  • Facilitate pre-mobilization meetings with subcontractors.
  • Issue and manage subcontracts (payments, insurance, bonds, safety protocols, etc.) and purchase orders across various trades.
  • Assist in the development, planning, and updating of the overall project timeline. Participate in regular job scheduling meetings.
  • Lead the implementation and compliance of the project quality control plan.
  • Prioritize, review, and expedite submissions.
  • Maintain accurate labor forecasts by collaborating with Superintendents on quantity updates.
  • Develop and manage change orders for subcontractors and purchase orders.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of projections, labor reports, safety documentation, and schedules.
  • Review and authorize material/equipment invoices in accordance with the project budget.
  • Prepare payment requests and oversee collections.
  • Engage with municipal and state agencies for project reviews and inspections.
  • Attend progress meetings and generate monthly status updates.
  • Input and update data in project management software (job status reports, projections, change orders, and RFIs).
  • Oversee job close-out documentation and procedures (final job report, closeout documents, and final accounting).
  • Mentor and train project engineers and interns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in construction project management (required).
  • Proven experience managing all aspects of construction projects, including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial accounting systems.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to address evolving challenges collaboratively to find optimal solutions for the project and team.
