Position Overview:
As the Chief of the Army Nuclear Power Branch, you will take on a pivotal role as a senior Nuclear Engineer within the Office of the Chief of Engineers (OCE). Your responsibilities will encompass a comprehensive range of supervisory and personnel management functions, overseeing a diverse team of program managers, engineers, scientists, and technicians across the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support to the Chief in managing and monitoring the nuclear power program.
- Develop and implement Army policies related to the planning, management, and execution of nuclear power initiatives.
- Represent USACE in high-level meetings with governmental and non-governmental organizations, collaborating with top scientific and engineering groups to advance nuclear power applications for defense purposes.
- Formulate policies and offer technical guidance on nuclear power in support of combat operations, general engineering, force structure development, and sustainability efforts.

Resource Management:
- Assess major expenditure proposals for equipment and facilities, justifying and defending these proposals to higher command levels.
- Make informed recommendations to the Corps of Engineers (CoE) regarding mission area issues and resource requirements, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources for the nuclear program.

Supervisory Duties:
- Oversee the personnel management functions and cross-functional activities of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required, with a focus on nuclear engineering or physics.
- Relevant experience in managing nuclear power programs and providing technical expertise is essential.

Additional Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- Compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug-Free Workplace Programs is mandatory.

This position is classified as supervisory and may require a probationary period to assess supervisory capabilities.
