Come join our team as an Agronomy Innovation Manager, serving Eastern Kansas and Missouri The Agronomy Innovation Manager will serve as the lead to increase adoption of agronomic management practices, decision science, and other novel agronomy solutions across the Pioneer organization. In coordination with Area and District Leads, the Agronomy Innovation Manager will develop tactics to lead the Pioneer field teams towards the goal of delivering product value through agronomy solutions. The Agronomy Innovation Manager will work closely with the local Field Agronomists and Strategic Account Managers to help implement Agronomy Sciences trials, Granular digital tools, crop mgmt. tactics, agronomy training, and more. They will work towards a goal of using agronomy innovation to earn more business and increase Pioneer sales.

What You'll Do :

  • Agronomy Innovation trials/pilots - Define trial needs for the geography and drive accountability for completion using structured, tactical execution plans including targets and tracking. Assist with evaluation of new product concepts such as PXP, Fungicide Timing, Reduced Stature Corn, and product Traits
  • Adoption of agronomic mgmt. practices, decision science, and other novel agronomy solutions - Partner with district leadership to develop tactics that help with customer call strategies by offering agronomy solutions including - trials, digital tools, and crop mgmt. tactics.
  • Demonstrate the usage, positioning, & value of agronomy & decision science tools and solutions. Model the way for commercial field sales teams to use agronomic solutions to deliver increased seed performance to customers. Empower commercial field team to use novel agronomy solutions in their day to day work
  • Agronomy Innovation training - Coordinate with Area and District Leaders to develop and deliver differentiating product knowledge and innovative agronomy training that engages the field team. Focus is transferring technical understanding using virtual, in-person, and e-learning methods. This includes existing solutions as well as new product launches
  • Represent the geography (Strong understanding of Agronomy needs, including software solutions) - be the conduit of consolidated feedback to/from their geographic coverage area to the CU Agronomy Innovation Leader regarding agronomy innovation needs, successes, and challenges

  • Bachelor's degree required. A master's degree in Agronomy , Digital Ag, Weed Science, Soil Science, or Entomology is preferred. Will consider other degrees with related experience.
  • At least 5-7 years of agronomy sales experience, educating and empowering individuals.
  • Must be able to sell, negotiate, influence, resolve conflict, and coach.
  • Agronomy and crop production experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a rural environment.
  • Ability to pass a driving record background check.
  • VISA sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • International relocation is not offered for this position.
