Position Overview

The Kansas Bankruptcy Court is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Case Administrator. This position requires a strong foundation in clerical and administrative tasks, with a focus on legal processes.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • A high school diploma.
  • A minimum of two years of progressively responsible clerical or office experience, demonstrating the ability to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for the role. Additional education beyond high school may substitute for some of the required experience.

Specialized Experience

One year of specialized experience is essential. This experience should involve progressively responsible clerical or administrative duties that require the consistent application of rules, regulations, and procedures. Familiarity with specialized terminology and the use of automated software for tasks such as data entry and report generation is crucial. Educational substitution is not applicable for specialized experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the bankruptcy or legal sector.
  • Proficient computer skills, with the ability to navigate various software applications, including word processing and email.
  • Knowledge of the court's CM/ECF system.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong customer service abilities, with a capacity to interact courteously with diverse individuals.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks amidst frequent interruptions.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and a desire to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • A professional demeanor and a strong work ethic.
