Job Overview

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity to join our corporate Human Resources team as a Human Resources Recruiter / Generalist. This role is working onsite at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.

As a Human Resources Recruiter/Generalist supporting our corporate / business support functions, you will play a pivotal role encompassing a wide range of responsibilities. Your duties will include sourcing and screening candidates, conducting interviews, and overseeing the hiring process for various requisitions. In addition to recruitment, you will take on HR generalist responsibilities such as managing employee relations, administering policies, maintaining HR records, and contributing to various HR projects. This multifaceted role requires flexibility and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where you will contribute to diverse aspects of HR to support our organization's overall success.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Administer the full cycle recruitment process for assigned roles by creating new job requisitions in the HRIS system, assisting hiring mgrs. with questions on the recruitment process, reviewing resumes, sourcing candidates, coordinating, and scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, generating offer letters, extending offers to candidates, etc.
  • Source candidates using a variety of methods (job boards, social media, networking, etc.)
  • Provide a high-level candidate experience by responding to questions professionally and timely and assisting/coordinating any other candidate needs.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and requirements.
  • Extend offers of employment and facilitate smooth onboarding processes.
  • Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers of assigned business groups
  • Address employee concerns and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive work environment.
  • Be the first point of contact for all employee relations issues within his/her groups. Assist with investigations, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Liaise with benefits, payroll, and HR operations to address employee questions and problems.
  • Support annual processes such as calibration, performance reviews, succession planning, annual merit pay and bonus processes.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Maintain and administer HR information system records (SuccessFactors). Partner with HR operations as applicable.
  • Participate on project teams for assigned projects

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience; 1+ year of HR generalist experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment processes and sourcing techniques
  • Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems, experience with SuccessFactors preferred
  • Understanding of federal and state employment laws.
  • Proven self-starter, capable of carrying projects through to completion
  • Ability to define problems and suggest solution recommendations
  • Ability to prioritize and mange time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidently and handle sensitive information
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi task. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • HR certification such as a PHR or SHRM CP is preferred
