Head of Business Development is responsible for increasing company revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as expanding brand presence and lead generation through various marketing efforts.

This position reports directly to the Director of Sales who reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all marketing activities, including but not limited to blogs, outreach, email blasts, SEO, and website development, with the aim of streamlining processes and expediting the sales cycle
Serve as the point of contact when working with outside marketing team, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration
Identify and attend trade shows to generate new leads actively. Develop strategies to streamline lead identification and conversion processes to foster new business
Pursue leads generated through HubSpot and marketing efforts, ensuring quick follow-up and efficient logging of activities in the CRM system
Identify new markets and products for current market and markets the company does not actively sell into. Aims to gain increased market share. Work closely with internal teams to streamline the development and management of each program to fruition
Develop streamlined go-to-market strategies for new products
Proactively identify and convert prospects into customers before passing them to inside sales, streamlining the lead qualification process
Create and map the sales process, setting up automation and schedule of activities through CRM to achieve fully vetted lead systems and expedite the sales cycle
Follow up with all prospects over a 6-month period or longer as needed, ensuring consistent engagement and nurturing
Explore and analyzes sales data, trends, competition, leads, customer feedback and markets to assist in business-wide decision-making, such as investment in new machinery and hiring of employees, with a focus on streamlining operations and bringing new products to market to drive increased sales
Manage leads efficiently through the CRM system, utilizing automation and streamlined processes to expedite lead management
Build comprehensive prospect lists in multiple industries with complete contact information, utilizing these lists for marketing and prospecting activities
Develop a competitor database with key points, players, and information
Actively pursue all competitor distributors, seeking opportunities for companies to distribute products and finds new companies to distribute products
Open up and hire outside sales reps, handles the recruitment creates contracts and job descriptions. Works with Director of Sales for training
Collaborate with the purchasing team to support the expansion of new vendors supporting new product development, focusing on innovative products and technologies
Actively identify competitors of our customers for prospecting activities, attends trade shows of customers to assist with this. Actively pursues these companies for new business opportunities
Define the sales process from first contact to becoming a customer, mapping and refining this process to streamline operations and expedite the sales cycle
