Position Overview

The vision for the SAP Marketing Data and Audience Strategy team is Establish a culture where data is valued, trusted, integrated seamlessly and leveraged universally to create personalized experiences within an audience centric framework while upholding the highest standards of data quality, security & compliance.

As a behavioral and digital data strategist you will support corporate marketing with defining and implementing our digital marketing data journey. You will contribute to projects in data-related transformation initiatives, play a key role in championing data management practices and drive adoption while delivering on best-in-class data capabilities. Your main responsibilities include

  • Function as the digital marketing data technology and strategy subject matter expert, acting as a business steward and trusted partner, ensuring the technology ecosystem fits together while leading the implementation of any desired changes and proactively suggesting optimizations to improve data fluidity, reducing data loss / improving data match rates.
  • Create, develop and manage the tagging strategy in collaboration with the internal analytics team to identify required data points to be captured.
  • Validate and ensure consistent and accurate data collection across all digital channels.
  • Standardize site analytics data collection across multiple web properties
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, privacy and legal requirements
  • Develop, manage and maintain the Solution Design Reference (SDR).
  • Deliver clear and concise set of technical requirements/ technical implementation documentation to the IT and data product development teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper tagging and meta data management for marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve tracking issues or provide guidance to biz and technical teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of tagging processes and metadata configurations.
  • Consistently implement data management best practices and understands why to follow them (Proficient in data cleansing techniques, such as removing duplicates, standardizing formats and handling missing data) - Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting using web analytics tools.
  • Partner and align with IT strategies that support an efficient, secure, cost-effective use of technology when it comes to data management.
  • Build a center of excellence around data strategy (engineering, architecture, and analytics) to help build a long-term competency in treating data as an asset
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to Implement formal data governance approach and increasing the maturity of the enterprise data capability and environment
  • Support the development of technology-based platforms (CDP) and applications as a digital data strategist providing data thought leadership.

Qualifications

  • Strong data and data-driven marketing knowledge, able to interpret business/technical requirements, and support in translating these into clearly articulated, parceled up models and strategies to accelerate how data and technology supports the maximization of business outcomes.
  • Knowledgeable about data types, sources, partners, and what defines the quality of data.
  • 5+ years of experience with some digital or design for measurability background
  • 5+ years of experience in a digital marketing analytics Strong knowledge of B2B software business model Foundational understanding of standard platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics Google Tag Manager, Adobe Tag manager and digital analytics best practices Experience using business technologies such as CRM (Salesforce), Marketing Automation (Marketo), Sales Analytics (Clari) etc
  • 2+ Experience with Digital Tagging Experience with Adobe Analytics Experience with Designing, Validating and implementing SiteCat Tags Experience designing page-level and custom tags Experience advising Designing applications for measurement
  • Prior experience working within digital media platforms such as, Meta, Google, TikTok and other publisher platforms
  • Extensive Understanding of UTM parameters
  • Working knowledge of Javascript, JSON, DataLayers and Cookies.
  • Proficient with tag validation, testing, and debugging tools
  • Experience with MAP, Adobe Analytics, Adobe target, Google Analytics, Optimizely data models preferred.
  • Background in data architecture and technologies, including cloud platforms, BI tools, data warehousing, and ETL tools
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, and other scripting languages
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex digital concepts and distill them to their core ideas, themes, insights, and recommendations
  • High sense of ownership, drive, agenda setting
  • Strong team player with a can-do attitude and an ability to simplify as well as go into detail when necessary
  • Aggressive appetite for learning and broadening/deepening skill set and knowledge as needed

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 141, ,900 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
