Unique opportunity to join a Finance Executive Development program as an Assistant Controller with a leading North American provider of waste services Seeking an Accountant with 2-5 years of experience, well-rounded in GAAP, and skilled in the preparation of monthly financial statements, annual budgets, audits and system implantations. The Assistant Controller will train for ~12 months, learning the intricacies of the ENTIRE operation--one day you may shadow a driver in the field, the next you could be learning the billing system by sitting on our CSR team During the training period, the Assistant Controller will work directly with a Senior Controller over a large region, and will be prepared to take on a role as Site Controller, "owning" the finance and accounting function-including extensive reporting-for that site.

RELOCATION WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THIS ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITY AND IS A CONDITION OF JOINING THE EXECUTIVE FINANCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AS AN ASSISTANT CONTROLLER Relocation will be focused in SE US, with locations in GA, NC, TN, KY, and surrounding.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Relocation for advancement or promotional opportunity
  • 2-5 years of experience as an Accountant, ideally in a multi-entity organization.
  • Skilled in the preparation of monthly financial statements, annual budgets, audits and system implantations.
  • Demonstrated experience in daily, weekly and monthly metric calculations
  • Must be a self-starter with the initiative to learn and a great work ethic
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting business systems
