Position Summary:
The Control Technician will play a vital role in the installation, testing, and maintenance of building automation and security systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Executing the installation of conduits, wiring, and devices such as panels and sensors across various systems.
- Conducting troubleshooting and system check-outs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinating with operational teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Leading installation teams through project requirements and assisting with electrical installation estimates as needed.
- Complying with local, corporate, and OSHA safety regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and effective installation practices.
- Experience with the installation of conduits and various types of cabling.
- Ability to interpret design documents, schematics, and control submittals.
- Comfortable working in diverse environments, including elevated and confined spaces.
- Proficient in using hand tools and technology such as laptops and smartphones.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license.
Additional Preferences:
- Associate degree or relevant work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the commercial or industrial construction sector.
