Associate I – Advisory

We will count on you to:

Identify, develop, provide, and advise on specific solutions and product categories and related risk management, service requirements, broking plans, insurance product line, and insurance carriers that will meet client needs. Provide support to help clients coordinate solutions, maintain, cultivate and nurture client relationships, identifying client needs, including emerging products and market conditions impacting coverage. Develop policy renewal or placement strategies and execute in accordance with client instructions. Analyze and recommend solutions to client problems. Create, maintain and modernize internal tools that enable efficient gathering, reporting and presenting of data for advisory solutions. Acquire, review and transform data to facilitate advisory capabilities and offerings. Design processes to improve efficiency of data that can be analyzed at scale to develop insights into clients' strategic opportunities and risks. Create standardized and customized capital models to support clients' financial strength ratings and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) processes using MetaRisk. Analyze industry losses to evaluate growth strategies and manage exposure for clients. Perform actuarial analyses to evaluate the impact of rate changes or reserve development on clients' risk profiles. Prepare and coordinate quarterly updates to Market Reports that provide insights into underwriting performance, reserve development, and macroeconomic trends for various markets, segments and lines of business. Communicate complex methodologies and results to the C-Suite so it's understandable and insightful. EOE

What you need to have:

Must have Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered, or a related position. Must have three (3) years of experience with all of the following: Economic capital modeling and reinsurance structure analysis/design; Assessing and managing proforma impact on regulatory capital, including BCAR; Utilizing VBA, Python, or R to develop tools and automate processes; Utilizing SQL to query and interrogate large data sets; Actuarial pricing and reserving methodologies; and Product management including the documentation, updating and maintaining of existing advisory solutions as well as training others, presenting results and providing insights to clients. Must have completed at least two Society of Actuary exams.
