We are a dynamic and flexible team, and this is a great career opportunity for the right individual Here are the core responsibilities:

  • Create full plans, from concept to obtaining full set of plans, for single family units and multi-family units (20+ units), entry/exit, common amenities spaces, and encompassing efficient design.
  • Prepare CAD drawings which include architectural site plans, floor plans, construction documents, as-build drawings, permit plans, demolition plans, red-line corrections, structural, elevations, foundation plans, cross sections, roof plans, plumbing plans, deck framing, utilities, and communicate with a licensed professional engineer.
  • Conduct site visits as needed for measurements and site review, and ability to incorporate efficient and creative design elements.
  • Support the permitting process, conduct permit tracking, plan review coordination and other technical duties in support of the receipt, processing and recordkeeping functions of the City's permitting process.
  • Ability to accurately document project status and communicate with various staff, partners, field project managers, superintendents, and clients.
  • Provide other business support functions, as needed and as time allows.

Requirements & Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in drafting, architecture, AutoCAD, or other similar work in residential and commercial multi-family experience.
  • Highly proficient with design software, such as AutoCAD.
  • Familiar with Google Suite products.
  • Must be detail-oriented, focused on quality and accuracy of measurements, and on completeness of design.
  • Strong understanding of drafting techniques, building design codes, design processes, and site surveying.
  • Understanding of City of Portland, City of Vancouver, and Clark County, WA code requirements and permitting process.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Highly trustworthy and dedicated to superior customer service.
  • Strong level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Pre-employment background check is required.
