As the Senior Business Analyst, you will be engaged in the Information Architecture Strategy/Departmental Data Lake project with the responsibility to document all requirements, use cases, and technical specifications.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team. This is a f ull time, long term opportunity that is mostly remote with onsite work in Trenton, NJ as needed. The Senior Business Analyst will be engaged in the Information Architecture Strategy/Departmental Data Lake project with the responsibility to document all requirements, use cases, and technical specifications. This project aims to scrutinize all data sources within the Department of Labor and assess the feasibility of creating a comprehensive Data Lake/Data Hub for all data.

What You'll Do

  • Establish a Data Repository
  • Establish a Data Catalog and a Data Classification system
  • Gather and document business requirements
  • Conduct Integration testing to ensure system compatibility and performance
  • Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm the system meets user needs

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Business Analyst Experience – 10 years
  • Requirement elicitation – 10 years
  • Documenting Business Requirements – 10 years
  • Documenting Functional Requirements – 10 years
  • Documenting Technical Requirements – 10 years
  • Use Case Development – 8years
  • Process Mapping – 8 years
  • Developing Test Cases – 8 years
  • Complete Requirements Traceability Matrix – 5 years
  • Create business, logical and physical data models – 8 years
  • Lead testing – 8 years
  • Knowledge of business analysis
  • Knowledge of requirements traceability
  • Knowledge of requirements elicitation
  • Knowledge of developing testcases and scenarios
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of As Is and To Be Modelling
  • Experience in the standard concepts, practices, and deliverables related to Business Analysis in support of software development projects

Desired:

  • Knowledge of database schemas, triggers, procedures and packages – 5 years
  • Analytical and customer service skills – 5 years
  • Communicate accurate and useful status updates– 2 years
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and program area staff – 5 years
  • SQL – 2 years

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
