As a Customer Experience Consultant, you play a crucial role in bridging the gap between customers' online and in-person interactions with CarMax. Your responsibilities involve ensuring a smooth process for customers, addressing inquiries, and assisting them throughout the vehicle purchasing journey. Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers online and via phone to identify their preferences for a new vehicle
  • Utilize your knowledge of CarMax's inventory to recommend suitable vehicle options to customers
  • Support customers from online browsing to finalizing the purchase, including financial arrangements and delivery scheduling
  • Facilitate a seamless transition from online to in-person transactions for an unparalleled customer service experience
  • Coach and guide team members as you broaden your expertise
  • Meet sales targets while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
  • Obtain required licensing in specific states to serve as an Automotive Salesperson if needed
Customer Experience Consultants receive a competitive hourly rate with the potential for performance-based incentives post-training.

  • Prior experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a retail setting

  • Adaptability to grasp and utilize new technologies, with proficient computer skills
  • Flexible availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Openness to schedule changes twice annually based on business requirements
  • Hybrid role involving on-site work one day per week
  • Residency within a one-hour radius of the Customer Experience Center (CEC) is mandatory
