The USPF Customer Service Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering effective communication with Insurance Agents, Brokers, and Insureds via phone and email. This position is responsible for addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and meeting performance metrics related to call volume and service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming customer service inquiries professionally.
- Process payments from agents and insured clients.
- Respond to emails directed to both individual and group accounts.
- Assist with mail handling, including sorting and distribution.
- Scan and upload documents into the imaging system as required.
- Engage with insurance agents to provide updates on transaction statuses.
- Communicate with insured clients to maintain policy status and prevent cancellations.
- Follow up with relevant parties to verify and update contact information.
- Escalate unresolved customer issues to the appropriate team lead or department.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and actions taken in the FinancePro system.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Interpersonal skills to engage with diverse individuals at all levels.
- Capability to understand and apply policies and procedures.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
Experience and Education:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
