Account Executive

Forrest T. Jones & Company, Inc., and its affiliates ("FTJ"), provide insurance and insurance related services to clients, corporations, employers, and individuals. These services include providing benefits through innovative life and health insurance plans, financial services, and customized insurance products for niche markets.
Position Summary
The Account Executive (AE) oversees the management of client accounts and develops policies and processes to ensure favorable relationships with clients. The AE reports directly to the Director Client Success (DCS) and is the acting liaison between the Client and DCS. Responsibility also includes providing direction to and coordinating with cross functional internal teams to include IT, Accounting, Legal and Audit.
Expectations
- Serves as point of contact for assigned accounts
- Understands customer requirements and needs, meeting regularly with assigned client accounts, by phone or in person to offer suitable solutions and generate new business.
- Assist DCS in development/analysis of client marketing strategies.
- Provide feedback to DCS to meet quotas/objectives.
- Drive program and product implementation to completion while meeting time, quality, and scope objectives.
- Ensures timely delivery of services and products to clients and resolves escalated issues to maintain and strengthen customer trust.
- May provide client training or basic support.
- Provide feedback to management for staff development, performance, and relationship management.
Competencies
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
- Detail and process oriented with high level organizational skills.
- Self-directed and able to function at a high-level in a very fast-paced environment
- Excellent computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Critical thinking and document proofing skills
- Ability to coordinate manage multiple projects with clients and among multiple internal departments
- Proficient in project management, ownership of tasks with ability to drive product implementation through to completion.
- Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations for business improvements
Requisites
- 1-3 years of working experience in the insurance industry with a focus on ancillary health insurance products
- Associate or Bachelor's degree and/or Life and Health Insurance License is preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of the relationships between TPAs and MGAs
- Basic understanding of insurance agreements and policy forms
