Azenta Life Sciences is seeking an Informatics Inside Sales Representative to join our growing and dynamic organization. This position will drive success by generating sales demand and pipeline revenue through developing their own leads and addressing leads received through our marketing campaigns and website as well. The primary focus of this role is to identify the most fruitful lead sources and build a strong funnel of high-quality opportunities for the Informatics Business Unit. The role will work closely with the Informatics Field Sales teams, Sales Senior Management and Marketing to achieve aggressive growth targets while progressing leads in Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of laboratory structures and sample management processes across various Life Science industries. We are searching for individuals who convey a sense of confidence, ambition, are goal focused and comfortable taking initiative.

What You'll Do...

  • Work within the Global Inside Sales Team to generate and qualify new leads and opportunities for Azenta' s Informatic Solutions
  • Follow up with inquiries from tradeshows, webinars, marketing qualified leads to further qualify the customer to determine which informatic solution best fits their needs before handoff to the Informatics Sales Specialist
  • Engage customers via social media and email campaigns, light cold calling, and other lead generation activities to help grow Informatics pipeline
  • Manage the early sales cycle for opportunities for the Informatics team and for selected campaigns close sales such as Freezer Pro renewals.
  • Work cooperatively with Marketing to develop promotional campaigns and messaging to build brand awareness for Azenta' s Informatic Solutions
  • Build understanding and trusted relationships with prospective customers to identify the appropriate services and create great experiences.
  • Coordinate closely with Management and track activities and opportunities.
  • Build cooperative relationships with other groups within the organization to support business needs.

What you will Bring...

  • 2+ years of professional inside sales/sales development experience required.
  • Software sales experience preferred
  • A good understanding of the Life Science Industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail, good time management, organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Analytical and metrics driven.
  • Strong computer skills with all Office applications and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Experience with Sales Navigator lead generation a plus.
  • IT literacy with an ability to communicate appropriately to a range of audiences
  • Experience of software pre-sales or managing software projects.
  • Previous specialized sales training including demonstration/presentation skills
  • Experience in configuring Informatics solutions

Working Conditions/ Schedule

  • May be asked to travel occasionally (anticipated to be around 10%).
