As a Regional Sales Leader Trainee for Frito Lay, you will engage in a comprehensive onboarding program lasting over six months to acquire the essential skills needed for advancement to the Regional Sales Leader position. During this training, you will receive 4-6 months of hands-on experience at the route level, gaining insights into our Direct Store Delivery (DSD) network and supply chain, while also learning the responsibilities of the frontline route sales representatives you will eventually oversee.

Upon successful completion of the training program, you will advance to the role of Regional Sales Leader, taking charge of all facets of managing a sales district; leading a team of 10-15 Route Sales Representatives (RSRs) while overseeing a business valued between $5-15 million. Your exceptional leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, and capacity to excel in a dynamic, ever-evolving work environment are crucial for your success in this position.

Total Rewards:

  • The salary range is between $61,400 and $95,750, influenced by various factors. The Regional Sales Leader role qualifies for mileage reimbursement in accordance with the PepsiCo Travel and Expense Policy. Following successful training completion, the Trainee will be promoted to the Regional Sales Leader level and become eligible for a target bonus of 15%. Promotion to the next level may lead to a salary increase within established compensation guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully complete all components of the Regional Sales Leader Trainee onboarding program.
  • Effectively cultivate, develop, and sustain positive relationships with customers (store management) while driving sales and executing sales initiatives.
  • Lead district meetings aimed at achieving sales objectives and targets.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings and collaborate with your route sales representatives to discuss performance, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
  • Coach your team to successfully capitalize on baseline and promotional opportunities.
  • Formulate sales strategies by gathering and analyzing statistical data using PepsiCo-specific applications.
  • Collaborate with the product supply team to create accurate forecasts based on promotions and historical performance to ensure product availability.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers as needed.
  • Be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience leading a team of frontline employees.
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods within a Direct Store Delivery environment is preferred.
  • Ability to motivate yourself and others while demonstrating excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must meet DOT & Fleet qualifications.
  • A safe driving record is strongly preferred.
  • Able and willing to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically.
