The Role and the Team

This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager to join Proofpoint and help with our Core Financial initiatives. You will have the opportunity to enhance procedures and make new ones to improve over-all processes. You will regularly communicate with cross-functional team members to understand business needs and triage requirements to meet milestones. The Project Manager will have the ability to "think big", be creative and have fun while ensuring change is adopted over the long term.

Your day-to-day:

  • Drive alignment and coordination of Core Financial (Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications & Reporting, Accounts Payable, T&E, Tax, Financial Close Management & Reporting) initiatives
  • The PM will help to optimize the Core Financial project prioritization process to ensure team bandwidth is focused on the key business deliverables
  • Work with functional leaders to ensure the appropriate Core Team resources are committed to the projects and contribute to required performance levels
  • Leads program planning process ensuring requirements are clear and driven by customer need and experience
  • Leads cross-functional teams through problem resolution including root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Defines, delegates, and evaluates the roles, responsibilities, goals and deliverables for assigned projects
  • Communicates program updates to functional management and leadership
  • Drive the Change Management effort, including the change impact analysis and communications
  • Think big Be creative. Find unconventional ways to ensure change is adopted over the long term.

What you bring to the team:

  • 5+ years of project management experience with a proven ability to lead and deliver on strategic and tactical business objectives
  • Experience working in a SaaS company preferred
  • Working experience in the Core Financial process area
  • Knowledge of ERP's, PowerBI/Business Intelligence experience
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Demonstrates excellence in both oral and written communication, in cross functional, and cross-cultural environment
  • Ability to interact with executive leadership, highlight issues and provide options and solutions for resolution
  • Fosters collaboration among team members
  • Experience in business process improvement
  • Ability to build trusting relationships, credibility, and strong communications skills to influence stakeholder, connect partners to improve project decision-making, which drives business value
