Job Description Jumpstart your career as a Facility Security Officer with BAE Systems, overseeing and managing the compliance of the facility and their employees according to the requirements of the government and contractual obligations, at a leading company in Aerospace and Defense. As a Facility Security Officer, you will work with all levels of leadership, as well as both internal and external customers to support a variety of interesting and dynamic programs. This role provides support for the Burlington and Lexington, MA security programs and is responsible for supporting adherence to all aspects of a rigorous compliance program as stipulated by 32 CFR Part 117, BAE Systems policies and procedures, DoD Manuals, Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD 254) and Program Security Classification Guides.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status and eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Ensure the overall security and safety of the facility, including physical security measures, access control, and surveillance systems
  • Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with government, customer and BAE Systems regulations
  • A working member of the site Incident Management Team (IMT); implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and coordinate with relevant authorities in case of security incidents or emergencies
  • Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the facility and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Provide security awareness training to facility staff, including topics such as safeguarding sensitive information, reporting incidents, and maintaining a secure environment
  • Maintain accurate security records, incident reports, and documentation required by both BAE Systems and government agencies
  • Serve as a point of contact for security-related matters with law enforcement agencies, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Plan and conduct investigations from inception to conclusion
  • Compile detailed and accurate reports summarizing investigation findings
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely progress and resolution
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits
  • Must demonstrate proven leadership skills, and excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of compliance programs and integration into business operations
  • Ability to solve complex decisions independently
  • Ability to function under pressure and stressful emergency situations
  • Demonstrated ability to create innovative solutions that create exceptional collaboration environments
  • Capable of developing collaborative relationships both internally and externally

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Previous experience with DISS, NISS, and SIMS
  • Facility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities Certificate (via CDSE)
  • Working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures
  • Previous experience in the development and coordination of a security programs, projects, best practices, and plans that advance the security mission and strategies addressing a variety of issues, including crisis management, privacy, and physical security
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $164010

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
