The Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for a critical role in model management and reporting (MRA), addressing challenges in report generation and ensuring accurate and timely delivery to managers and SVPs. This position requires strong Python and SQL skills to analyze data, fix issues, and generate insightful reports using data sourced from the news team.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Python and SQL to analyze data, identify issues, and ensure data accuracy for report generation.
  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions, focusing on model management and ensuring reports meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with the reporting team to troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting report quality and delivery.
  • Create and optimize reports using Tableau or PowerBI, presenting findings in a clear and actionable format.
  • Leverage AWS or similar cloud platforms for data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Conduct comprehensive system analysis to enhance reporting capabilities and address data discrepancies.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in report processes and implement solutions.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a hectic schedule, managing tasks including problem identification, data correction, and report generation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems effectively.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI (nice-to-have).
  • Motivated individual with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with the Salesforce platform for data management and reporting is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms for data analytics and storage is preferred.
  • This is a remote position and requires the ability to work in a home office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate home environment noise.
