ResponsibilitiesRole AttributesReporting to the EVP, Chief Operations Officer, the VP, Operations is the lead strategist, consultant, and change agent, ensuring that the priorities of the Field Operations division are successfully implemented.

The role will handle the day-to-day management of leading priorities and initiatives to allow the COO and other senior leaders to focus on strengthening and growing local organizations and provide direct supervision to Conferences & Learning Events, Alignment and Business Operations, including project management, Editorial & communications, and Innovation.

The VP, Ops will lead a high performing team of 5 direct reports and a team of 24 across the Business Operations, Strategic Alignment, Project Management, Conferences and Learning Events, and Communications and Editorial.

Candidate Attributes and Success MeasuresA key attribute for this role is proven experience in a senior-level operations position, preferably within a non-profit organization, or experience with a federated, distributed or franchise model.

The ideal candidate will be strategic and possess strong leadership and team management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, have to ability to manage through and in ambiguity, and have a demonstrated experience in process improvement and change management.

Knowledge of non-profit operations, compliance, and governance is essential, along with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
The candidate must have a high energy level and be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.

A commitment to the organization's mission and values is critical, as is being a strategic thinker with a hands-on, proactive approach.

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and uphold strong ethical standards and integrity is required.
This position involves travel of up to 30%.

Success Measures:
Increase Club satisfaction ratings.
Increase overall KPIs (youth outcomes, attendance, teen growth, revenue, individual and team performance) ensuring successful implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Increase speed to market on new initiatives ensuring effective systems, processes and operating models.

Additional ResponsibilitiesIn addition, the position leads key departmental meetings, coordinating among different areas of the Field Operations organization, and oter critical functions, and generally helping to implement the vision of the department's senior executives.

In conjunction with the Business Intelligence team, this leader provides daily, weekly monthly, and quarterly progress reports for the COO, President & CEO, and other senior leaders on the execution of all critical initiatives.

Lastly, they will demonstrate Boys & Girls Club of America's mission driven I Care Values and integrate these beliefs into our environment and ways of work.

QualificationsEducation, Experience and SkillsBachelor's degree or a combination of education/experience equivalency.

Minimum of seven years' experience either in a multidisciplinary leadership role in the private or public sector or in the management, administration, and operation of a Boys & Girls Club (or similar organization).

Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel.

Experience with other computer software management tools; Zoom, Teams, SharePointAbout the Field Operations GroupField Operations is a large division that is Movement facing and focuses on positive youth outcomes.

The Field Operations team focuses on leadership & board development, child safety & quality assurance, military & native services, youth development including life & workforce readiness, and strategic alignment.
