Job Overview

The Vice President of Operations Management is tasked with formulating strategies, leading franchise teams, and collaborating with various stakeholders to improve the overall effectiveness and value of the management portfolio.

This role demands a highly driven and results-oriented leader who oversees daily business functions, crafts effective strategies, and executes programs aimed at achieving growth targets. Responsibilities include staff development, operational efficiency, sales objectives, EBITDA oversight, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors, all while embodying the organization's values. The VP also plays a crucial role in defining and maintaining the company's vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Oversight: The VP ensures seamless operations across all areas, including business development, revenue management, property upkeep, guest services, and vendor partnerships. This includes managing hiring processes, conducting performance evaluations, and facilitating training for all personnel.

Strategic Direction: The VP establishes and communicates the strategic vision for the operations division, focusing on maximizing rental income, occupancy rates, and guest satisfaction. This involves market analysis, pricing strategy oversight, and identifying avenues for growth.

Financial Oversight: The VP manages budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management, collaborating closely with finance teams to ensure profitability and optimal resource allocation.

Quality Control: Consistent quality across rental properties is essential. The VP sets and monitors standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest experiences.

Leadership: The VP works with leadership to establish and achieve company objectives while providing expertise on operational projects and systems. They lead and inspire property managers and staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Identifying training needs and ensuring appropriate training is provided is also a key responsibility.

Marketing and Business Development: The VP partners with marketing teams to enhance business growth, attract guests, and manage online presence. They explore partnerships and distribution channels to maximize outreach.

Technology Integration: Staying abreast of industry technologies is crucial. The VP identifies, recommends, and implements new processes and systems to enhance organizational efficiency and resource utilization.

Administrative Duties: The VP maintains operational protocols, allocates resources, and monitors key performance indicators to assess success.

Relationship Management: Developing and nurturing relationships with property owners and their teams is vital. The VP communicates with relevant vendors and industry associations, regularly reviewing vendor partnerships to enhance efficiencies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of management experience in short-term rental property management.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to franchise locations.
  • Real Estate Broker's license required.
  • Experience in daily operations of short-term/vacation rental management, including revenue management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Exceptional client service commitment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work weekends during peak rental periods.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is required; an MBA or Master's degree is preferred.
