Precision Fluorocarbon Inc. specializes in compression molded PTFE, thermally formed PTFE diaphragms, custom, and machined plastic components. PFI produces consistently precise and uniform plastic products for a wide range of industries including aerospace, medical, motorsports, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, pump, semiconductor, and valve.

Role and Responsibilities

The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the flow of work and materials according to daily and weekly production schedules. Reviews and distributes production work and shipment schedules; conferring with production and department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates. Primary point of contact for flow of work and priorities at all manufacturing facilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates with production supervisors to review shop load demand for over/under loading conditions
  • Proactively communicates daily with Sales on production order status and/or delays.
  • Assists in creation and maintenance of Kanban and stocking programs.
  • Maintains master files of manufactured part numbers.
  • Reviews MRP exception messages to determine push/pull actions as necessary. Brief production on impacts.
  • Coordinates with estimating, order admin, sales, and production on product lead times.
  • Analyzes demand, then prepare and distribute BOM/Routers to the production floor
  • Researches, reconciles, and resolves discrepancies and on-hand balance issues to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Distributes production and material demand reports to management as required.
  • Follow up, in a timely manner, with all teams to expedite flow of material and BOMs and Routers to meet production schedule and customer expectations
  • Works with engineering to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensures all assigned projects are accompanied by necessary documentation.
  • Maintains status reports for selected customers as assigned by management.
  • Interacts with Production, Sales, and Manufacturing Engineering on daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or any changes to available capacity.
  • Reviews and create capacity reports regularly and interface with any necessary departments to plan for and resolve issues.
  • Reviews daily progress of dispatch priorities.
  • Coordinates priority requests from production/engineering/expediting
  • Coordinates workflow between facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills, and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree highly desired, High School diploma or GED from accredited institution (required)
  • Combination of education/training and 5 or more years of experience in lieu of bachelor's
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must have working knowledge of Excel vlookup, pivot tables and formulas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff and suppliers
  • Experience working a fast-paced environment
  • ECI/MACOLA ERP Systems experience a plus
  • Must be analytical and have experience with problem-solving
  • Must be a self-starter able to multitask, with excellent attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
  • Experience in Discrete Manufacturing and Batch Manufacturing
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
