Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Pay Rate: $60K-80K annually
Meador Staffing Services is seeking a dedicated BUYER/PLANNER to become an integral part of our team. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless procurement of materials and services that meet our operational standards.
The Buyer/Planner will oversee the sourcing and acquisition of necessary materials, ensuring alignment with quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This position requires effective planning, scheduling, and monitoring of material flow throughout the production process to guarantee timely product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate requests for quotations and process purchase orders with authorized suppliers.
- Issue purchase orders and agreements that accurately reflect pricing, timelines, terms, and conditions.
- Negotiate and resolve claims related to damages, returns, over-shipments, and engineering modifications.
- Plan and manage production capacity to optimize on-time delivery rates.
- Ensure the accuracy of open purchase orders, quotes, work orders, and part master data.
- Address shipment quality issues by facilitating communication between suppliers and manufacturing teams.
- Engage in supplier evaluations to assess production capabilities and performance metrics.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, proposing strategies for cost efficiency and operational enhancements.
- Adhere to established Government/Commercial Practices Manual (GPM/CPM) policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of negotiation experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is essential.
Additional Information:
- Direct-hire opportunity.
- Annual salary range of $60K-80K.
- Full-time position.
- Standard work hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM.
