Position Overview

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of maintenance activities within Sanchez Energy Corporation. This position is responsible for the strategic planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks to optimize resource allocation and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilization of CMMS: Leverage Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to formulate a daily work agenda that guarantees sufficient resources for executing preventative, predictive, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct audits of assignments and resources to confirm that repair schedules and performance benchmarks are achieved. This encompasses maintenance and operations personnel, materials, documentation, work orders, change orders, and requisite approvals for executing planned work.
  • Equipment Verification: Walk out P&ID's and accurately tag verified equipment to ensure proper identification and tracking.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive records of all system equipment within the CMMS, ensuring that all maintenance activities, both planned and unplanned, are scheduled through the system. Follow up to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Accurate Documentation: Ensure that all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes or procedural modifications related to the work are meticulously recorded within the CMMS, with work being closed in a timely manner.
  • Activity Management: Oversee and schedule maintenance operations, including mechanical integrity inspections, instrument calibrations, and preventive maintenance assessments, while coordinating project workloads effectively.
  • Weekly Scheduling: Prepare and sustain a weekly maintenance timetable to streamline operations.
  • Communication: Advise on the need to reschedule maintenance downtimes and effectively communicate and coordinate the revised plans.
  • Collaboration: Maintain regular communication with operations and maintenance teams to stay informed about engineering projects and initiatives.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure the implementation of safe work practices at all times, promptly reporting any safety concerns to the supervisor and EHS Manager.
  • Support Safety Programs: Actively support all company safety, health, environmental, and quality programs and policies, taking accountability for their performance within the Maintenance Department.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with CMMS software.
  • Experience in walking out P&ID's and tagging verified equipment.
  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented team player with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • General understanding of parts, electrical systems, welding, and mechanical equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills with experience in inventory management.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations is advantageous.
