Lead and oversee development, coordination, and implementation of initiatives to support the creation and success of the Community Council Project for the WLC.

Foster relationships with WLC stakeholders to include school staff, district leadership, and community partners.

Assist in planning and implementing community councils within each WLC school. Collaborate with private/public agencies in support of shared community school's goals and objectives.

Coordinate stakeholder meetings, staff meetings, and other meeting activities.


Oversee and directly support data collection and internal and external reporting systems to support project evaluation, shared decision making, school funding, and school improvement.

Facilitate focus groups, surveys, and program observations as part of the quality improvement plan.


Design and execute multi-Council engagement events on a quarterly basis to strengthen practices and cohesion across patterns in the city.

Demonstrate effective connections with the external community, including leading advisory groups.


Coordinate staff meetings, technical assistance from organizations such as Children's Aid Society, mentoring within staff teams, and training of community school's staff.


Represent the Community Schools initiatives at community events and on community groups as appropriate, and coordinate participation of Site Coordinators and other staff at events.

Support the development of data collection and internal reporting systems to support project evaluation and grant reporting.

Participate in hiring, training, and evaluation of staff members.

Maintain agency standards regarding confidentiality and quality.

Serve on staff committees as assigned and/or approved

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in human service field, with three to five years of program management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous supervisory experience and strong knowledge base in program areas, required.


Ability to form professional helping relationships with and respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency's service population.

Ability to help others to learn through a variety of methods.

Knowledge of community resources.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Must have a valid driver's license, which meets the requirements of the agency's insurance carrier.
