The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

Incumbent provides management and executives advice, demonstrations and samples of state-of-the-art advances in the field of visual communications to solve problems that can't be solved with current processes.

Demonstrates how Multimedia and other published products can be used to optimize quality or enhance communications to multiple market segments and affected stakeholders.

Incumbent meets with the Commissioner and/or other executives, and/or other professionals to present design concepts and techniques for use in high-level conferences, briefings, hearings, and/or IRS publications.

Incumbent develops new concepts, incorporates current social trends or style standards and regularly evaluates new technology for incorporation in agency or Division programs.

Incumbent attends industry conferences, shows and seminars to stay abreast of the latest and emerging industry trends and technology.

Incumbent provides technical consultation and guidance to customers to ascertain general nature of desired product, problems anticipated and deadlines.

Employee performs in-depth analyses to interpret the needs of the customer and consider all aspects of production. Employee works within these parameters to formulate ideas and plan, design, and produce visual materials that meet all requirements.

Employee produces all types of visual communications products using traditional graphic artist tools and/or computer graphics and/or layout and spreadsheet software desktop systems to convey intended information.
