How You'll Make a Difference

Part of a team responsible for supporting the security and integrity of PMI sponsored examinations. The Data Specialist will focus on identification and mitigation of exam misconduct through analysis of large data sets, longitudinal trend analysis, and investigations along with reporting and visualization of data for varied audiences. This role will also partner with members of Enterprise Analytics and Technology Solutions to find solutions that will support organization data needs.

What you'll Bring to the Role

  • 1-3 years of practical experience in data analysis and visualization. Degree in in Computer Science or related discipline a plus.
  • Excellent pattern recognition, analytics interpretation, and diagnostic skills. Data driven mindset and decision-making a must.
  • Solid background in various forms of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytic visualizations (based on provided statistical analyses).
  • Demonstrated success working directly with business users to build reports, dashboards and solving business questions with data.
  • Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability working with senior management from diverse cultures and organizations. Track record of positive relationships with outcomes.
  • Design, preparation, and documentation of work plans; ability to see the big picture and report progress accordingly.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and sound business judgment in assessing and prioritizing multiple competing opportunities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and finesse, including public speaking to small and large groups in ad-hoc and formal settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Effective meeting facilitation and consensus building.
  • Successful negotiation of agreements for services or relationships that benefit or align with an organization's objectives. Ability to develop exit strategies.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple, concurrent tasks, as well as prioritize actions as opportunities evolve.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment where conflicting priorities may threaten schedule and quality.
  • Ability to see the big picture and develop long range strategies while attending to details
  • Skills with tools, languages, data and computing tools, such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, SQL, T-SQL, and RDBMS: Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with data modeling and design/modeling tools
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products and internet proficiently while working remotely using laptop in a dynamic environment while traveling
  • Experience in dealing with sensitive, confidential materials and respect for same, with ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive organization topics and issues
  • Commitment to his/her own professional development and the development of others.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally. Limited travel anticipated
  • Ensure conformity to approved annual operating plan and budget, recommending and taking appropriate corrective action as warranted.
  • Progress and attainment of planned results. Anticipate and manage risks to established objectives.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships to ensure acceptance, implementation, and on-going utilization of agreed upon activities, as well as promotion of the profession as applicable.
  • Assess complex data and make recommendations about data to include in strategic and operational planning. Recommendations could include new strategies for approaching risk, enhancements/expansion of current safeguards, and operational changes as needed.
  • Accept guidance from executive management and respond to appropriate requests for assistance from them and their personnel.
