Construction Support Specialist Job Description

Overview:

The Construction Support Specialist is responsible for executing general labor tasks and providing assistance to skilled tradespeople. This role requires sound judgment and the ability to adhere to detailed guidelines.

This position is vital in advancing Bristol Bay's Mission, Vision, and Values. Bristol Bay excels in Safety, Innovation, and Quality, delivering top-notch services in construction, maintenance, and industrial cleaning to facilitate resource development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate on civil and mechanical construction initiatives, including excavation, welding, and more.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
  • Utilize various construction tools such as saws, hammers, and plumbing equipment.
  • No supervisory duties are included.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • NSTC Certification with H2S Endorsement.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in an oilfield setting.
  • Asbestos Abatement certification.
  • Training in confined spaces.
  • 24 Hr. Hazwoper Certification.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Good mobility, hearing, and visual capabilities.
  • Full range of motion.
Work Environment:
  • Exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Frequent on-call duties.
  • Work at construction sites with potential hazards.
