Key Responsibilities
- Actively observes assigned areas through visual, electronic, or auditory means, engaging in various assignments such as patrolling inside facilities or driving through designated locations.
- Ensures compliance with safety protocols and promotes a secure environment for all.
- Effectively de-escalates potential conflicts to maintain the safety of colleagues and patrons.
- Inspects entry points and other vulnerable areas to confirm security measures are intact.
- Documents incidents, property damage, and unusual activities in line with established protocols.
- Aids in event preparations, including the arrangement of furniture and displays.
- Issues warnings for rule violations and may take action to remove offenders.
- Facilitates communication between visitors and relevant personnel.
- Responds to emergencies, ensuring the safety of individuals and property, including adherence to fire safety and active threat protocols.
- May involve routine monitoring of safety systems and issuing identification badges.
- Checks operational status of heating, lighting, security, and fire systems.
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support departmental objectives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
- Must successfully pass a background check and obtain necessary licensing.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Capable of making independent decisions with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to stand or remain active for extended periods.
- Proficiency in English is required for communication and documentation.
- Safety-oriented mindset is essential for this sensitive role.
Working Conditions
Environment: Indoor and outdoor settings, often in challenging weather conditions.
Noise Level: Moderate to loud.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and mobility required.
