Construction Labor Specialist Job Description

Overview:

The role of the Construction Labor Specialist encompasses a variety of general labor tasks while supporting skilled tradespeople in their duties. This position requires sound judgment and the ability to adhere to detailed directives.

This role is integral to Bristol Bay's commitment to Safety, Innovation, and Excellence, delivering high-quality services in construction, maintenance, and industrial cleaning to support resource development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate on civil and mechanical construction projects, including excavation, welding, and more.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
  • Utilize various construction tools such as saws, hammers, and plumbing equipment.
  • No supervisory duties are required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • NSTC Certification with H2S Endorsement is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in an oilfield setting.
  • Certification in Asbestos Abatement.
  • Training in confined space operations.
  • 24 Hr. Hazwoper Certification.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
  • Good mobility, hearing, and visual capabilities.
  • Full range of motion is required.
Work Conditions:
  • Exposure to various weather elements.
  • Frequent on-call duties may be necessary.
  • Work may be conducted in environments with potential hazards.
Contingencies:

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment screenings.
