What you will be doing

The Preventative Maintenance Engineer is responsible for successfully maintaining and repairing cosmetic items and mechanical equipment in hotel rooms and public spaces. Responsibilities include performing various work order tasks and assisting with guest service calls.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.
1-year experience in a similar job or in the hospitality industry is preferred.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMaintains all mechanical and cosmetic items in the hotel aligned with the hotel's preventative maintenance schedule.
Assists engineering staff in repairs when necessary.
Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area in the engineering shop.
Prepares daily work forms.
Routinely inspects all lighting throughout the hotel, identifying potential problems and resolving them.
Responds to maintenance requests and house calls.
Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company.
Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS system, and Life Safety Systems (training provided).
