Job Description

The key responsibilities for the maintenance mechanic in los angeles are:

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and fitness equipment to ensure optimal functioning.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure safety.Facility Upkeep:Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs.Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of mechanical rooms, equipment storage areas, and other assigned areas.Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately to management.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.Provide detailed reports on equipment status and maintenance activities as required.Collaboration:Coordinate with other departments and external contractors as needed for specialized repairs or projects.Assist in training staff on proper equipment use and maintenance procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful maintenance mechanic based in los angeles, CA will have:

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a health and wellness facility or a related industry.Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and fitness equipment maintenance.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.Attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Physical stamina and dexterity to handle equipment and perform manual tasks.

Education and Certifications:High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in mechanical systems preferred.Certification or license in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems maintenance is a plus.

Work Environment:The job may require working in various conditions, including mechanical rooms, outdoor settings, and potentially noisy environments typical of health and wellness facilities.
