Job Description

As a Construction Administrator, you will oversee the planning, design, and implementation of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems in construction projects. Your role will entail ensuring these systems meet all specifications, codes, and standards while coordinating with architects, engineers, and construction teams to seamlessly integrate MEP systems into overall project designs for compatibility and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems into project designs.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources related to MEP systems.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for MEP installations.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify construction quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Resolve any MEP-related issues during construction.
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams and clients.
  • Provide leadership in driving construction through design and construction phases

You will be a Full-Time W-2 employee of Actalent where you would receive an hourly wage, holiday pay, PTO/Vacation, Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision insurance). After being an employee of Actalent for 12 months, you will transition to the engineering firm as a direct employee.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in MEP project management or construction administration.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents (blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, etc.)

Work Environment

This role is in-office from Monday to Thursday (with the option of a half-day on Friday if 9-hour days were worked from Monday to Thursday). This is not a hybrid or remote job and will require driving to job sites when needed to perform hands-on Construction Administration tasks.
