The onsite Supply Chain Manager will manage the supply chain process and activities for the Albany, MN site for the benefit of the external and internal customers.

The individual will be responsible for the demand plans, material planning, warehouse activities, production scheduling, raw material call off along with setting the stock levels, budget and inventory levels for the plant.

Key responsibilities

 Develop safety stock, minimum order quantities, optimal production quantities for raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

 Monitor slow moving and obsolete inventory and develop a plan to deal with accordingly.

 Develop, monitor and publish department and site KPI's and set goals for improvement.

 Drive best practices for inventory management and reporting. Responsible to ensure appropriate control mechanisms are in place and achieve exceptional levels of inventory accuracy, material availability, and service goals.

 Develop and manage purchasing and scheduling staff. Maintain cross-training program to assure highly qualified backups for every function. Drive a culture of operational excellence throughout the organization.

 Participate on cross functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs.

 Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and skills

 Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field of study and 4-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 Demonstrated success as a change agent & developing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives and accountability programs

 Demonstrated success assessing, developing and retaining top talent

 Proven ability to drive process improvements, adhere to budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance

 Proven ability to lead with the following key competencies: Performance Management, People management, Planning, Customer Care and Project Management.
