Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in projects that evaluate existing supply chain support systems, including inventory management, maintenance, and distribution.
  • Examine complex logistics support systems and reports to identify issues.
  • Analyze both historical and current data to uncover discrepancies and redundancies.
  • Create training materials for users of newly automated systems.
  • Facilitate demonstrations and training sessions for users on new and enhanced automated systems.
  • Provide consulting on USMC logistics strategies and supply chain management policies, focusing on weapon system lifecycle support and inventory management processes.
  • Lead and support projects aimed at analyzing and recommending improvements for existing supply chains at wholesale and retail levels.
  • Deliver expertise in inventory management, provisioning, distribution, and packaging principles to ensure efficient logistics performance.
  • Assist in establishing lifecycle management activities, including compliance with statutory requirements to standardize supply catalogues and reduce redundant specifications.
  • Support the resolution of audit findings and material weaknesses in inventory and requisitioning processes.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to enhance inventory and distribution practices.
  • Review and monitor programming and budgeting requirements for Defense Components Supply Working Capital Funds.
  • Evaluate logistics and supply chain policies against performance metrics and propose enhancements.
  • Provide administrative and technical writing support for maintaining and updating supply chain policies, collaborating with government stakeholders to capture necessary information.
  • Offer program management support, conduct data analysis, and prepare briefings for USMC leadership.
  • Draft and finalize various correspondence, including reports and presentations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Over 12 years of experience in DoD logistics and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with advanced modeling, networking, scheduling, and inventory optimization techniques.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Detail-oriented and self-directed, capable of adapting to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret level security clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred.
  • Previous military or DoD civilian/contractor experience.
  • Familiarity with USMC Intermediate Supply using GCSS-MC.
  • Experience with Navy-ERP.
  • Knowledge of FIAR methodology.
