We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Purchasing Office at the Albany Campus. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for procuring goods, services, and equipment to meet the operational needs of all departments within the Albany Med Health System.
Key Responsibilities:- Procure goods, services, and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure excellent customer service and timely delivery.
- Manage and expedite priority and urgent order requests, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Assist with invoice exception resolution and ensure accurate and timely issuance of Purchase Orders.
- Collaborate with departments to understand needs and provide outstanding customer service.
- An Associate degree in an appropriate field, plus 3-5 years of experience in purchasing.
- Experience working with computer applications and ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to respond to and prioritize time-sensitive demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
