The successful candidate will collaborate across various functions and project teams, playing a key role in the advancement and expansion of our supply chain operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement effective supplier management strategies to ensure adherence to delivery, quality, and cost performance metrics.
  • Oversee procurement lifecycle management, supplier management plans, and initiatives aimed at supplier enhancement and development.
  • Lead a team of procurement specialists focused on fulfilling project and non-project procurement needs.
  • Manage supplier agreements and associated order books, ensuring compliance with operational requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks while capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Facilitate effective resolution of queries with customers and suppliers throughout the supply chain.
  • Support the formulation of procurement and supply chain solutions, collaborating with customers and suppliers to evaluate proposals and progress bids.
  • Manage team resources, budgets, and the professional development of team members, aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
  • Compile and analyze procurement and supply chain reports, participating in management reviews of performance metrics.
  • Conduct face-to-face supplier evaluations focusing on operational performance, cost reduction, and supply chain enhancements.
  • Support the achievement of organizational objectives relevant to procurement teams.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with functional governance and guidelines, contributing to the enhancement of procurement processes.
  • Adhere to current export control regulations and procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Assist senior management in procurement-related tasks and support the development of new business opportunities.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent, with a preference for candidates holding CIPS membership or pursuing it.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on supplier performance management.
  • Adept at building professional relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with strong independent working capabilities.
  • Demonstrated people management skills, with experience in leading diverse teams.
  • Fluent in English, with strong numeracy skills.
  • Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and solve complex problems through analytical thinking.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement and supplier management tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with procurement governance and lifecycle management processes.
  • Understanding of supplier agreements and cost reduction strategies, with effective negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of export control regulations and compliance requirements in procurement.
  • Experience with procurement and supply chain management ERP systems, preferably IFS and SAP.
  • Ability to generate and assess procurement reports using IFS/SAP and Microsoft applications.
