What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the implementation of policies, procedures, and standards for Supplier Quality Management in alignment with AS9100 and FAA regulations, encompassing supplier selection and purchase order quality flow down requirements.
- Conducting initial audits and surveillance audits of supplier quality systems as necessary. Contributing to the formulation of criteria for supplier scorecards.
- Applying Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP/PPAP/AS9145), Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies to oversee critical characteristics, drive consistent supplier performance, and enhance supplier progress.
- Participating in the establishment of IT systems to facilitate AS9100 process execution, including setting up a supplier portal, Approved Supplier/Vendor List (ASL/AVL), dock-to-stock program, non-conforming material processes, Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR), and performance reporting.
- Assisting in devising a robust sampling/inspection strategy and a dock-to-stock plan. Ensuring product conformity from the supply base and promptly addressing deficiencies in Supplier Performance.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field. A higher-level degree is advantageous.
- Over 5 years of experience in Quality/Operations/Supply chain management.
- Proficient in AS9100, FAA, and NADCAP compliant Quality systems, including policy formulation, procedural deployment, and auditing.
- Familiarity with Quality tools like PFMEA, DFMEA, GD&T, etc.
- Knowledge of AS9102 and FAA conformity procedures. Skilled in mitigating non-conformities at the supplier level through the application of 8D for a Supplier Zero Defect Strategy.
- Understanding of Quality Standards such as AS9145 and AS9134. Proficient in Quality Assurance Processes and APQP/PPAP for New Product Development.
- Capable of data analysis using tools like Excel, Tableau, MiniTab, etc. Strong project management, analytical, and attention to detail skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Self-motivated, autonomous, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
