Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of commodities and categories on a global scale, including the procurement of goods and services essential for the company and its clientele.
  • Formulate and implement category strategies, develop the supply base to fulfill organizational and customer needs, and engage in supplier contracting and negotiations.
  • Ensure supplier qualification and establish quality assurance processes while addressing any quality-related challenges.
  • Focus on strategic development, supplier enhancement, negotiations, and nurturing business relationships to meet cost, quality, and supply assurance objectives.
  • Drive the creation of procurement strategies, policies, and tactics to achieve organizational goals, emphasizing cost reduction and demand fulfillment.
  • Manage performance aspects of significant contracts and subcontracts, adding value to the organization.

Management Responsibilities:

Utilize expert knowledge to guide staff in resolving complex business and technical challenges within established guidelines. Supervise exempt individual contributors and/or managers, ensuring accountability for a substantial multi-department area with significant influence on business outcomes and strategic direction. Serve as a key advisor to senior management regarding the development of overarching policies and long-term objectives.

Key Duties:

  • Accountable for the results of a large multi-category department, ensuring alignment with business needs, including strategy, cost savings, and personnel management.
  • Lead a team of senior-level exempt contributors and managers, supporting a complex global organization.
  • Responsible for recruitment, performance planning, coaching, and career development of team members.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to discuss the impact of supply chain strategies and foster forward-thinking initiatives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop strategic relationships and operational efficiencies.
  • Advise senior management on the formulation of overall strategies and long-term goals.

Qualifications:

  • A first-level university degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Typically requires over 10 years of experience in supply chain or a related field.
  • Experience in people management for 2-4 years is expected.

Essential Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, particularly in complex, international, and cross-functional environments.
  • Advanced analytical and data modeling expertise.
  • Excellent communication skills, proficient in English and local languages.
  • Robust business acumen and risk management knowledge.
